The Colours
We find that photos are the best way to demonstrate the colours we offer for our Bespoke Collection.
Please see below for photos from recent customer orders of the different colours we have available and we’ve added a little more information about these below.
The photos are intended to serve as a guide. As reclaimed and rustic wood is a natural material which varies by batch, the appearance of the wood and exact colour may vary from the photos shown. Lighting in the photos can also vary.
Driftwood
Our Driftwood finish is typically a darker version of our Light Driftwood finish with a mix of natural wood tones and some similarities to a pine coloured wood.
Light Driftwood
Light Driftwood is a light, natural clear colour. Similar to a pine colour bringing out the natural colour and features of the timber.
Rugger Brown
Rugger Brown is a rich oak colour and the final finish will vary from a medium to a dark oak look depending on the timber used.
Grey Wash
Our Light Grey Wash is a light natural colour bringing out the character and natural colour of the timber together with subtle hints of grey which varies in different lights.
White Wash
This is a contemporary light stain, similar to a light beech finish.
Hard Wax Oil Protective Finish
The protective finish is a blend of natural oils and waxes designed to provide durability and resistance to liquids and everyday wear. The matt-satin finish gives a natural appearance to the timber.
While the protective finish adds durability, we recommend using placemats and coasters to preserve the appearance and longevity of the furniture.
The Frames
The bases of the indoor tables are a natural gunmetal grey colour with welded sections around the joins/corners, to add further character. These can be coated black 9005 or anthracite grey 7016 at an additional cost of £119 for a table and £49 for a bench, please request this in the notes during checkout and we'll get in contact to finalise your order. Other colours are also possible on a bespoke quote basis, please contact us for further information.
Bespoke Collection - Reclaimed & Rustic Wood
Part of the charm of our Bespoke Collection is the timber we use. As a natural, living material, it will develop over time so this may not suit everyone. Changes (such as surface splits/spreading) may start to appear with the natural adjustment of the wood when it adjusts to a new environment, this is completely normal and to be expected.
There are likely to be imperfections in the wood, such as knots, holes (of all shapes and sizes), notches, bumps, indentations, different grains and the surface may not be completely flat or smooth (we always endeavour to get as uniform as possible).
This is all part of the character of the wood which can be hundreds of years old, has had a former life and gives reclaimed furniture a unique look and feel, as no two pieces will be exactly the same.
Please note we're unable to replace/exchange furniture due to these natural features/characteristics - for more information please see our returns and refund policy.
Some examples of character you can expect are:
Extendable Tables
There are a selection of extending tables available in the Bespoke Collection.
We usually create 30cm detachable leaves that slot onto either end of the table, and which will be made from the same wood as the main table for continuity of the grain/planks. The size of the leaves can be varied if required and when not required they are stored separately from the table.
Please see example image below. Table styles/fittings can vary.

Delivery and Assembly
Delivery times vary by product and current availability, please check the product pages for approximate timescales.
Some self-assembly is required and instructions and all necessary tools will be provided. For tables and benches, screwing bases to table tops is all that is needed using the provided allen keys.
Aftercare
Acclimatising your indoor furniture upon delivery
A key tip is to ensure your new indoor furniture is given time to acclimatise and is not placed in direct sunlight or next to a hot radiator. As reclaimed wood is a natural material, excessive heat can cause the wood to split, crack or warp.
We will be unable to replace furniture that has any such issues resulting from direct sun or heat damage.
Usage
Please ensure that all furniture is correctly assembled by two competent people, making sure that units with doors are squared up, so that the door open and close correctly. Any nuts and bolts at assembly points should also be periodically re-tightened.
When moving your furniture it is always recommended to lift the item, instead of dragging, in order to avoid damage to the legs or joints. Similarly, don’t move chairs by sliding when sitting on it as this places undue stress on the legs and joints, and never lean backwards on the two rear legs.
All items with glass should be handled gently, as damaged glass may
spontaneously shatter if later subjected to thermal or mechanical stress.
Prior to using the furniture for the first time, wipe over the inside of all wardrobe and cabinet drawers with a soft damp lint free cloth. Repeat with a dry lint free cloth.
Cleaning
Rings from cups and mugs and red wine spills are a common occurrence on tables. We recommend always using place mats and coasters under plates, cups and glasses weather hot or cold for protection - making sure to wipe up any spills quickly with a soft dry cloth to prevent staining. We also always recommend using a mat when writing, so not to dent your furniture.
Dusting regularly and cleaning your furniture with a damp cloth from time to time will protect it from any stains forming. An old cotton T-shirt or lint-free dishtowel works well for removing any dirt or crumbs. Wet the cloth very lightly, wring out so it’s only just damp, and wipe! Be sure to follow by drying with a lint free cloth.
Do not use acetone, solvents, bleaching agents or silicon born products on your furniture.
