Sustainabilty is at our core and our Recycled Plastic Bottle Rug collection from Claire Gaudion is no exception. This collection of patterned flat weave rugs is made of 100% recycled plastic bottles. The collection takes its design cues from patterns seen on the surface of and under the ocean.
The Zala Demin Rug is a characterful handloom woven rug, that is made entirely from recycled plastic bottles.
Taking its design cues from the patterns seen on the surface of the sea and underwater reefs our Recycled Plastic Bottle Rugs are available in a range of nature-inspired colours and patterns.
The beautiful rug looks and feels like wool yet is made from 100% recycled plastic bottles! The plastic bottles have been transformed into soft tactile yarn akin to cotton or wool and handwoven into beautiful patterned rugs. Every rug is made by hand, and is unique.
The manufacture of all of our rugs are also endorsed by the Care & Fair Label. The Care & Fair certificate confirms that no child labour is used, the weavers enjoy good living conditions and fair wages. The people we work with are extremely important to us, as are ethical and fair working conditions. You can find out more information about the Care & Fair Label here.
Available sizes 170 x 240 cm, 200 x 300 cm.
We recommend a rug underlay is used for all indoor rugs.
These Recycled Plastic Bottle Rugs can be used indoors or outdoors. They provide good for thermal insulation and effective sound absorption. The recycled fibres are UV and water-resistant.
