Our Bespoke Collection reclaimed furniture range is available in a great selection of colours and are coated in a durable matt water resistant lacquer or equivalent finish. 

Part of the charm of reclaimed furniture, as a natural, living material, is that it develops over time, this may not suit everyone. Changes (such as surface splits/spreading) may start to appear with the natural adjustment of the wood when it adjusts to a new environment, and there are likely to be imperfections in the wood, such as knots, holes (of all shapes and sizes), indentations, bumps, notches, different grains and the surface may not be completely flat or smooth (we always endeavour to get as uniform as possible).

This is all part of the character of reclaimed wood which can be hundreds of years old, has had a former life and gives reclaimed furniture a unique look and feel, as no two pieces will be exactly the same. 

Some colour variation may also be expected between batches of wood - the appearance of the wood and exact colour may vary from the photos shown. 

These distinctive qualities give reclaimed furniture a unique feel, as no two pieces will be exactly the same.

Some examples of character you can expect are:

Matt Water Resistant Lacquer or Equivalent

With a lacquer finish, the final finish will likely be a bit grainy and highlight the natural characteristics of the reclaimed wood. It can appear more rustic. It's typically a robust finish, making it more durable against marking or staining and will also add more water resistance to the wood. Making it a great option if you expect some staining or spillages.

Driftwood 

Our Driftwood finish is typically a darker version of our Light Driftwood finish with a mix of natural wood tones and some similarities to a pine coloured wood.

Light Driftwood 

Light Driftwood is a light, natural clear colour. Similar to a pine colour bringing out the natural colour and features of the timber.

Rugger Brown 

Rugger Brown is a rich oak colour and the final finish will vary from a medium to a dark oak look depending on the timber used. 

We can also apply a wash finish such as a grey or white wash should you be looking for something more bespoke and contemporary. A clear matt water resistant lacquer varnish will then be applied.

Grey Wash 

Our light Grey Wash is a light natural colour bringing out the character and natural colour of the timber together with subtle hints of grey which varies in different lights.

White Wash

This is a contemporary light stain, similar to a light beech finish.

Origins
Our Bespoke Collection reclaimed furniture range is made using reclaimed pine, hand picked from various old industrial buildings across the UK. It was mainly used as floor joists in its previous life so has lots of history, character and detail you will only find in genuine reclaimed wood. It is also extremely heavy and durable, always a sign of great quality. We also use sustainably sourced British rustic pine for some furniture items depending on sizing and finish, so you can always be assured your furniture is rooted in sustainable origins.

The reclaimed planks are joined to form the finishing touches to all our furniture, whether it be a dining table, side unit, bench, desk… possibilities are endless when each piece is lovingly restored to measure by hand!

All the solid steel bases and frames are hand made to order. The steel is bought in long strips, this is then cut and welded to form the unique furniture designs. The steel is gunmetal grey in colour and the silver marks on the joins are from welding the steel together, making each piece bespoke whilst adding to the industrial look.

To ensure the steel stays looking perfect, the bases are all finished with a clear matt lacquer coating.

Our Bespoke Collection reclaimed furniture is handmade to order to a high quality so there is a lead time. But it’ll be worth the wait! The current lead time is approximately 6-8 weeks.

Standard delivery is free to most mainland UK locations. Long distance locations, particularly remote areas, will also be subject to additional delivery time and charges. For these locations, the delivery times shown during checkout are a guide only and depending on your area, extra time may be required. Where delivery charges apply, we will combine the delivery cost for multiple items from our reclaimed furniture range.
